Throughout the course of her career, Dr. Sibilsky has worked in a number of roles within the field of psychiatric care. She got her start in private practice, but became interested in helping those who were in need of emergency psychiatric care. She enjoyed the challenges of emergency psychiatry and felt very rewarded by the work she was doing, but eventually her reputation became such that she was offered an opportunity to work as an administrator. She then spent several years working as the medical director of an emergency clinic, and her efforts resulted in many improved processes as well as the introduction of several new practices that positively affected the care administered through the clinic.
Dr. Sibilsky has enjoyed a long career of professional success, and the foundation for that success was built through rigorous study throughout her academic career. As an undergraduate at the University of Michigan, Dr. Sibilsky earned a degree in biology while also working in the medical school located on campus. She then went on to earn a degree in microbiology as a graduate student at Oakland University, and her studies eventually took her to American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, where she spent two years before returning to complete her medical degree at Wayne State University.
Through all of her training, academic degrees and professional experience, Dr. Sibilsky has developed a philosophy with regard to treatment that has served her and her patients quite well over the years. She has enjoyed tremendous professional success throughout her time as a psychiatrist and has always welcomed any and all challenges. Her impressive experience extends far beyond just her professional life, as Dr. Sibilsky has also demonstrated an interest in many diverse recreational pursuits.
A student of gemology, Dr. Sibilsky holds numerous GIA certifications. She has also studied animal behavior, but her real interest lies in several hobbies that are not exactly for the faint of heart. In addition to studying Krav Maga, Dr. Sibilsky is also a certified scuba diver, has skydived extensively and has spent many hours in the cockpit of an airplane while working on her pilot’s license. Truly a woman of many interests, Dr. Sibilsky has been able to apply the many lessons learned from the whole of her life experience to assist those who seek her care through her private practice at North Georgia Psychiatry.
